Harlingen is the perfect base for a daytrip to the Wadden Islands Vlieland and Terschelling or the Wadden coastal area. From the port in the middle of the town centre, several ferries depart daily for these two islands. Other ferries take you on a beautiful route along the coast from Harlingen.
